Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Neuropsychiatry
Welcome to the Neuroscience Interest Group!
Whether your interests lie in neurology, neurosurgery, or neuropsychiatry, this is the place for you! We are a passionate community of students aspiring to pursue a clinical career in the neurosciences.
Since our inception in December 2023, we have undertaken various activities, including volunteering opportunities, awareness campaigns, journal clubs, training courses, and more—all designed with the benefit of the medical student and the community in mind.
As a member, you can enjoy exclusive benefits like research opportunities, skill-enhancing workshops, and collaborative campaigns—all designed to enrich your journey, strengthen your CV, and cultivate meaningful connections. You could also thrive as a leader by taking a position in one of our five branches: Activities, Education, Research, Community Outreach, and Social Media.
Our activities are welcome to everyone!

How can students join you?
We operate as a closed group with selective membership for reasons of quality and availability of work for all. We open recruitments twice a year, once in January and once in July. Students are selected purely on their letter of interest, with no preference given to skills. We value honesty, character, and passion for the field.
Members differ from non-members in two things only: research opportunities and priority to work on UJSIGN projects. Our policy dictates that members are given priority to work on any projects, and non-members are able to fill any remaining spots on the team.
What can students expect when they join you?
Enjoy research opportunities, awareness campaigns, and activities that shed light on various neurological and neurosurgical issues from people around the world.
Work on projects with measurable impact, like our stroke initiative or our Gaza Charity Runs!
Join a friendly community of like-minded individuals with the same goals, and build your network of connections and friends!
